Haul of Minis ♡

I've been on the hunt for one and finally found one by Color Club in the color 'Harp On It' from their Holographic Hues collection.  My sister and I decided to also buy the colors 'Blue Heaven' (blue undertone) and 'Revvvolution' (charcoal base), which are awesome holographic in different hues.  I'm a huge fan of the whole holographic trend right now and can't wait to paint my nails with this next!

My friend, Kyla, and I went out to Ulta yesterday, I accompanied her on her search for a bb cream and eyeshadow palette (she came out with much more than that, haha).  After looking around, I decided that I should put my $3.50 off of $10 coupon to good use!  I picked up a Precision makeup blending sponge and a new NYX sharpener for eye pencils and such.  I kind of bought the sponge on a whim, but thought it would be worth a try since I haven't tried any other before. When I came home, I looked online for reviews and saw that some people said it's comparable to the Beauty Blender. I really hope that is the case and it meets my expectations!

After going to Ulta, we headed over to Target (our favorite!) to grab a couple of items.  I couldn't help but pick up the miniature-sized bottle of Justin Bieber's 'Girlfriend', it was on sale and the packaging is just too cute!

Later on in the day, I went with my cousin, Becky, to Sephora to look for some very very late Christmas presents. I left with a repurchase of the Anastasia Brow Wiz and their NARS 500-point perk!

The set comes with four minis. Larger Than Life lipgloss in 'Gold Digger', Illuminator in Copacabana, Pro Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base, and blush in 'Orgasm', which I probably will not use because it's so cute and tiny! I really like how they thought it through and included something for your eyes, lips, and face.

I've been saving up my points for something good to come out and I'm glad I did.  If you've been saving up too head to Sephora soon before they're all out of this cute little set! Becky liked it so much she asked if she could redeem her points for it without purchasing anything. Fortunately, they allow it and we came out with huge smiles on our faces :P

Instagram Madness.

I can't find the cord for my camera charger, so I shall be updating with a bunch of recent photos from Instagram!

I've done a lot of shopping this past week, and bought some new stuff for spring! The weather in Chicago has been amazing, I can't get over it.  It feels like summer already.  I'm on the hunt for a couple more things for my spring wardrobe  (:<

                                                                                                                                      xx,

Just another day ..

Leopard print scarf from Ebay // Crop top from Pacsun // Hollister Jeans // Minnetonka fringe boots

Yesterday's festivities included classes, chapter meeting, bowling at UIC with Chi Sigma Tau Fraternity, and grabbing desserts at Artopolis in Greektown with my sisters! I must say, I was doing the worst I've ever done in my bowling career, I got like, under 30 points for the first game, HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?! Oh well, haha, I was just so out of it, I really do enjoy bowling though :P The baklava and hazelnut praline from Artopolis is delicioussss, I didn't order anything for myself, but it was nice sampling all the desserts everyone else got. It was a pretty long day.

Doki Geki blazer // Hollister flannel // Bullhead jeans

Today was a boring day, went to classes then straight to work! I also got my eyebrows done, yay me, haha. When I came home, and my 36 palette from Crown Brush that I ordered off of Hautelook came in! It's a lot smaller than I thought it would be, but that's ok, it's still gorgeous! I finally tried out essie's Shine Of The Times polish, and I loooove it. I hope they come out with other variations of colors, I know other brands have the flaky glitter polishes also, but I am not willing to pay regular price for them :P I have so much ahead for this weekend, I still need to pack for retreat and do homework!

Weeknd + Mini Haul

New magazines! I adore Zooey Deschanel.
Lunar New Year was on Monday (yesterday), and I got a chance to see a lot of my family members and family friends.  I received a lot of li xi, which is surprising, because I don't even get them anymore, because I'm so old! I'm trying to save a bunch of the money up, but I did spend some of it on two new pairs of leggings for the winter and a new bag.  On Sunday night, I went to temple saw a few friends while I.  We went to my old temple, and they have expanded a lot.  I'm very happy for my old temple to expand it's space, welcoming more people into it.
Did my nails with a tribal print that day, but it already started chipping!
Today, my friends and I went out to Sun Wah Barbecue Restaurant in Argyle.  It was nice gathering with all my friends, because I need a break from all of that studying! Almost all of us ordered some type  of BBQ or roasted beef/pork/duck with rice, so delicious.
BBQ pork and duck rice plate, yumm, just $5.25!
Boyfriend and I! (:

Afterwards, we went to go back to the nail supply store so Kyla could buy some China Glaze (only $2.70 a bottle!).  I think that essie and OPI are only $4.75 each.  Went home with two new bottles of essie nail polishes! Top photo is Merino Cool, one of my all time favorite colors.  Second, is Shine of the Times Luxeffects Top Coat, which is a flaky glitter I've been dying to get my hands on. The leopard print scarf that I ordered off of Ebay finally came in! It was less than $5, I'm kind of addicted to Ebay at the moment.

I'm expecting a lot more items to come in in the next few weeks, so excited! The rest of my week is going to be very busy, wish me luck!

                                                                                                                                      xx,

Nail Obsession

Coming from a Vietnamese family that owns a nail salon, it's only natural for me to love doing my nails and nail art.  It was not only until recently that nail art became really huge and of course I've experimented doing different things.  Here are just a few pictures of what I have done on my nails before! (:

I did this design by myself, and I still like to do this design! It's so easy, but it looks complex.  When people first see it from far away, they think it's a nail sticker, but I'm always proud to say that I did it myself. (:
I got this done over the summer in Vietnam.  The nail technicians there really know how to do some awesome designs! This is a simple half flower design, but it just looks so beautiful. I wish I could do this one day ..
This was the second design on my nails while I was in Vietnam in the summer.  The swirl design is just so cute, I love it!
Lastly, the easiest way to get a nail design .. Magnetic nail polish! I'm still obsessing over it.  When you move your fingers, it looks almost holographic! Everyone needs to try them out (:

I hope you've enjoyed this post and it gave you some ideas on how to do your nails next! I'll be sure it post other nail designs I do in the future.
